National Association
NALS...the association for legal professionals is an international association founded in 1949, and now has a membership of over 5,000 throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other foreign countries.
NALS maintains its permanent headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is recognized by the American Bar Association, as well as state and local bar associations.
NALS employs a professional and courteous staff which serves and assists member inquiries, coordinates certification exams, plans upcoming educational conferences, provides educational references and tools to its members, and publishes a quarterly magazine, the @Law. An Annual Conference and Education Forum is held in the Fall of each year and a Professional Development Conference is held each March.
NALS has created numerous online educational avenues including Online Study Groups; E-Learn, a monthly update on current topics of interest; and an Online Learning Center for studies with members across the country.

Region 6 Association
NALS consists of eight regions within the United States. NALS Region 6 includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas.
With over 1,100 members, Region 6 currently has more members than any of the other eight NALS Regions! An Annual Meeting is held in July each year within the Region, to provide networking with other regional members. Continuing legal education is always available, along with plenty of opportunities for professional development, and time for sightseeing tours.

State Association
NALS of Missouri provides numerous networking and continuing legal education through seven chapters in the state of Missouri. It offers members leadership training at all state seminars; networking with other legal support professionals in Missouri; and Certification Study Groups, resources and reference materials; and community service projects. Meetings are held three times a year, with an Annual Meeting held in the Spring.
